SPX Emission Service

SPX Service was formed in 1993 with the merger of Allen Test Products
and Bear Automotive Equipment. These two brands have long been
recognized leaders in the development of engine diagnostics, wheel
service, Battery testers, and emission testing equipment. Operating under
the Automotive Diagnostics name till late 1999. As a result of this
merger, and a change in the needs of the repair station SPX Service
became focused on emission test equipment as a core business. SPX
Emission Service now operates under the Service Solutions segment of
SPX Corporation.
